North Sea Days 2026

The North Sea Days is the annual gathering for everyone engaged with the future of the North Sea—whether in science, policy, governance, industry, or advocacy.

On 1 and 2 October 2026, we will come together at Deltapark Neeltje Jans in Zeeland to explore the latest insights, challenges and developments concerning the North Sea, with ecology as an important pillar.

The North Sea Days 2026 are organised by Wageningen Marine Research in collaboration with Deltares, NIOZ, Rijkswaterstaat and TNO. For this edition, we are also collaborating with the Delta Climate Center, Zeeland's knowledge centre for climate and sustainability challenges. This collaboration strengthens the connection between North Sea research, climate adaptation and solutions for the delta of the future.

This year's theme, 'Zee en delta in balans: een veerkrachtige Noordzee', invites participants to explore how we balance economic activity with ecological responsibility through innovation, collaboration and policy.
